(driver updating)
This program will scan your computer and inform you when it thinks you have an out of date driver installed for one of your devices.

For those who don't know, a driver is what controls how your computer talks to one of its parts or devices. Often, improvements are made after a devices introduction and updating your drivers can often drastically increase your computer's stability and performance. To be fair, though, some new drivers do not increase performance very noticeably and can even cause your computer to become less stable. While this is rare outside of using beta drivers, it is still worth mentioning. Many driver updates are available by using the standard windows update client, too.

Anyway, this program is especially useful if you are using generic microsoft drivers because you have lost your driver installation CDs after doing a clean install or something like that. Drivers can safely be found by referring to each device's manufacturer webpage (usually), but sometimes a device can have multiple drivers and a user has to manually update each this program automates the process to some degree and takes some of the legwork out of hunting down drivers.

It does require the user to sign up, and provides the opportunity for users to sign up for some 'special offers' from sure to opt out of those during installation.

From my experience, RadarSync is a little easier to use. [go to software page]
