Software Review

(video editing)
I needed to do some basic video editing for a client and Windows Movie Maker wouldn't import my source video. Rather than transcode it (I feel like I tried and was getting audio sync issues), I decided to see what alternatives existed.

VideoSpin did everything I needed: import my video, automatically separate to clips, overdub sounds / music, transition between clips, add text / slides.

This wasn't the easiest process, and I'm a fairly advanced user, but with some effort and time reading guides and hopping on forums if necessary, most people should find this pretty similar to Windows Movie Maker, while supporting a few more source video types and probably exporting a little more broadly.
